Finding a Homeland at the end of the World
The exhibition will cover the intense and important exchange that took place between the Italian and Chinese cultures, starting from the beginning of their history until the Renaissance. Through a selection of masterpieces from Italian and Chinese museums, the public will recognize the strong influence of each culture on the artistic production of the other, giving the feeling of a sort of “homeland at the end of the world”, where the cultural exchanges and interactions of past centuries are evident in the selected artworks, documents, manuscripts and maps. A unique opportunity to explore the exchange that took place between Western and Eastern civilizations with particular attention to the artistic and cultural traces resulting from their relations and commercial exchanges.
