Scuderie del Quirinale

The exhibition showcases 100 impressionist and avantgarde masterpieces borrowed from the Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg. For the first time on display outside of Russia, the collection represents a fundamental pillar of European art in the 19th and 20th centuries. The paintings and drawings belonged to the personal collection of wealthy entrepreneurs Sergej Schukin and Ivan Morozov. Amongst the works on display are Matisse’s Dance, paintings ranging from Picasso’s blue and pink period to his cubist period, as well as a selection of works by Monet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne, Sisley, Gauguin, Rousseau and Bonnard.
