It features four 15th century works by Italian masters, all of which are share a common subject: the Madonna with child, one of the core images in Byzantine art and Italian Renaissance painting. The Madonna of Senigallia (1474) by Piero della Francesca from the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche is at the center of the exhibition. This is complemented by works by Piero della Francesca’s peers such as the Madonna Madonna of the Red Cherubims by Giovanni Bellini, the Madonna with child by Carlo Crivelli and the Madonna with sleeping child by Cosme Tura.
