DALÍ. Tradizione e Rivoluzione

Palazzo Cipolla
Italy, Rome
17 october 2025 - 01 february 2026

Days of exhibition

Dalí. Revolution and Tradition explores the creative universe of Salvador Dalí through a selection of over 60 works, including paintings, drawings, photographs, and audiovisual materials. The exhibition highlights the artist’s ongoing dialogue with the great masters of art history and his own time, revealing the complexity of his vision.

Dalí constantly moves between two seemingly opposite poles: the disruptive power of revolution and the solidity of tradition. Deeply fascinated by artists such as Velázquez, Vermeer, and Raphael, Dalí expresses his admiration in many of his works. Alongside this legacy is the confrontation with his contemporary Pablo Picasso, with whom he had an intense and ambivalent relationship.

The exhibition is promoted by Fondazione Roma in collaboration with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and organized by MondoMostre. It is curated by Carme Ruiz González and Lucia Moni, under the scientific direction of Montse Aguer. The project brings together important loans from the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and other major international institutions, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza.
