Installations of Gabriele Gandolfo David

The Elyma project is an invitation to reflect and dialogue with the surrounding environment, get lost and find yourself in a powerful and present nature, reconnect, look for ideas for different narratives, close distant circles and rediscover common symbols to share, immersing yourself in the most ancestral heart of stratified city of ancient Segesta. Here the plant installations and sound sculptures by the artist Gandolfo Gabriele David will trace a path that will lead the visitor from the Valle gate to the heart of the Temple and up to the Antiquarium, where he will find the section dedicated to the finds curated by archaeologists Maria Cecilia Parra and Chiara Michelini archaeological sites, including the works from the votive deposit of the foundation of the granary discovered in the urban Thesmophorion of Entella, the sacred area of Demeter, in dialogue with contemporary testimonies and works by the artist connected to the theme of wheat and Nature. The exhibition is curated by the art historian Lori Adragna and Luigi Biondo, director of the Segesta archaeological park.
