Villa Manin hosts the exhibition Un capolavoro a Villa Manin. Nuda Veritas. Klimt.
The exhibition offers an extraordinary opportunity to discover Nuda Veritas, Gustav Klimt’s remarkable masterpiece dating from 1899.
Nuda Veritas is considered one of the most powerful expressions of artistic modernity, capable of combining aesthetic beauty with ethical reflection.
Through a journey across five rooms, visitors can explore Klimt’s biography and his connections with Italy, the theme of the “many truths” embodied in the work, and the dialogue between the painting and the architecture and decorative elements of the villa itself.
The loan of Nuda Veritas by Gustav Klimt represents a cultural event of major international significance and highlights the importance of European cultural dialogue in the sharing of masterpieces. The artwork, made available through the collaboration with the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Theatermuseum, reflects the prestige achieved by the Friulian territory within the European artistic landscape.
The exhibition is organized by ERPAC FVG and MondoMostre, in collaboration with the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Theatermuseum in Vienna.
The exhibition is curated by Cäcilia Bischoff.
